Influenced by her life experiences in Rio de Janeiro, Bahia and Switzerland, the Brazilian artist Mucki Botkay expresses her art through hand-made textile artworks with glass beads, inspired by the exuberant Brazilian nature. Through collaborations with local female artisans, her works not only celebrate local culture and art, but also generate additional sources of income for several women in Rio de Janeiro’s communities. Her works, full of affective memories, find a special place on the walls of each person, adorning the most significant spaces in their lives.
